Summer Heat in Savannah
The humidity of a Georgia July clung to everything like a second skin, but inside the shaded sanctuary of the old Victorian estate, Julian and Elena found a different kind of heat. They had spent the afternoon discussing architecture, their voices low and academic, but the tension between them had been humming like a live wire since the moment they met.
Elena leaned against the mahogany desk, her silk dress sliding slightly against the polished wood. Julian stepped closer, the scent of cedar and expensive cologne enveloping her. He didn’t say a word; he simply reached out, his thumb tracing the line of her jaw with a slow, deliberate pressure that made her breath hitch. “I’ve wanted to do this since the first hour,” he whispered, his voice a rough caress.
She responded by winding her fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck, pulling him down. Their first kiss was an explosion of long-suppressed desire, a collision of lips and tongues that tasted of red wine and longing. Julian’s hands found the curve of her waist, lifting her onto the desk as the world outside the heavy curtains faded into insignificance.
