Secrets by the Riverbank
The summers of my youth were defined by the scent of damp earth and the rushing currents of the river. It was there that I first encountered José, known to everyone as Pipiripi. He was a local boy who sold bread, but when his basket was empty, he became the undisputed king of the river, bold and uninhibited.
For a long time, our interactions were merely playful, but a hidden tension grew between us. I remember the first time he pulled me close in the water, the sudden warmth of his body against mine sending a jolt of electricity through my spine. He was older and possessed a magnetic pull that I couldn’t resist.
In those stolen moments behind the thickets of the riverbank, the world outside ceased to exist. One afternoon, the air thick with humidity, we found our way to a secluded cove where the water was still and deep. Our breaths mingled as we explored the depths of a passion that felt as ancient and unstoppable as the river itself.
