The Mystery of Dante
For months, I had watched him from my window. Dante was a mystery wrapped in black denim and a brooding silence that made my heart race. He was tall, with shoulder-length dark hair and a serious expression that rarely broke into a smile. To everyone else, he was the isolated boy in the third-floor apartment, but to me, he was an irresistible enigma.
One afternoon, with my parents away, I finally gathered the courage to break the ice. Trembling from head to toe, I climbed the stairs to his door. When he opened it, dressed in an oversized black tee and barefoot, my breath hitched. I clumsily invited him to my place to play video games, my voice shaking with a mix of terror and excitement. To my absolute shock, he agreed.
The tension in my living room was electric. As we sat side-by-side on the floor, our arms occasionally brushed, sending sparks through my skin. I could feel him watching me, his gaze intense and hungry. When our eyes finally met, the silence between us shifted from awkward to heavy with longing. He leaned in, his breath warm against my cheek, and whispered my name for the first time, sealing a connection that had been building in the shadows for far too long.
