A Weekend in El Carmen
The air in northern Argentina was thick with the scent of blooming jasmine. Julian had always felt a magnetic pull toward Carlos, his aunt’s partner. Carlos was everything Julian aspired to be: confident, rugged, and possessing a quiet intensity that vibrated whenever they were in the same room.
When Carlos invited Julian to a folk festival at the Dique Las Maderas, it felt like a secret door opening. Julian climbed into the passenger seat of the truck, the engine roaring as they sped toward El Carmen.
Upon arriving, Carlos didn’t head for the festival. Instead, he pulled into the dim light of his private garage, the heavy wooden doors shutting out the world. The tension that had simmered between them for years finally boiled over. Carlos turned to Julian, his gaze hungry and decisive.
He reached out, his calloused hand cupping Julian’s jaw. The first kiss was desperate and demanding, a collision of long-suppressed desire. Julian gasped, his hands finding purchase in Carlos’s thick shirt, pulling him closer as the world outside vanished. In the shadows of the garage, they explored each other with a feverish intensity, every touch a revelation, every moan a confession of a love that had waited too long to be claimed.
