Courtside Chemistry
Leo and I had spent months orbiting each other at the CONADE sports club. I was a volleyball player, and he was the star of the basketball team—a striking man with sun-kissed skin and a presence that commanded every room. We had become fast friends, sharing late-night parties and whispered conversations.
The tension between us had been building for a year, a slow burn fueled by stolen glances. When my parents left for a business trip, the house felt cavernous and quiet. I invited Leo over to get ready for a party, my heart hammering against my ribs.
When he arrived, the air shifted. I retreated to the bathroom to shower, but the solitude didn’t last long. The door creaked open, and Leo stepped in, his eyes dark with a hunger he no longer tried to hide. He didn’t say a word as he stepped toward me, the steam clinging to our skin.
His hands found my waist, pulling me flush against him. The heat of his body was a revelation, erasing the chill of the room. As his lips met mine, the world outside the steamed-up glass vanished, leaving only the rhythmic beat of our hearts and the desperate, long-awaited release of a year’s worth of longing.
