The Price of Curiosity
Julio had always been a fixture in my life, the kind of friend who drifted in and out of my house with a familiar ease. He was charming, but he was always broke, frequently asking for small loans to get by. For a long time, I played along, but a simmering curiosity had begun to grow within me—a curiosity that had nothing to do with money and everything to do with the tension I felt whenever he was near.
One afternoon, while my parents were out and the house was quiet, Julio stopped by for his usual request. I looked at him, my heart hammering against my ribs, and made a proposition. I told him I would give him the money if he was willing to be intimate with me. He hesitated, his expression a mix of surprise and uncertainty, but eventually, the need for cash outweighed his hesitation. He agreed, though he asked me to keep our encounter a strict secret.
The air in my bedroom felt heavy and electric as he locked the door. The anticipation that had built up over weeks of private fantasies finally broke. He started with oral sex, and the sensation was overwhelming, a rush of heat that left me breathless. However, I wanted more. I wanted to experience the fullness of a first time, a desire that had eclipsed my previous experiences with women.
I guided him to the bed, my hands trembling with a mix of nerves and lust. As I began to explore his body, I realized we were unprepared. I used some lotion I had in the bathroom to help us along, hoping to make the experience seamless. But as I tried to push further, Julio winced, his voice tight with pain. He told me it hurt, and for a moment, the heat of the moment was replaced by a sharp spike of concern.
We tried again, this time letting him take control of the pace. He slowly lowered himself onto me, and for a few seconds, it felt like we had finally found a rhythm. But as he moved, a sharp sting flared in him. When he pulled away, I saw a streak of red against the sheets. He had been injured, the friction and the wrong kind of lubricant causing a small tear.
Panic surged through me. I quickly helped him clean up, feeling a wave of regret wash over me. I gave him the money I had promised and some soothing cream from the medicine cabinet, my heart sinking as I realized that my curiosity had come at a cost. Before he left, he kindly helped me reach a climax, but the afterglow was nonexistent.
As the door clicked shut behind him, I sat in the silence of my room. I had finally experienced what I had craved, but the memory was tainted by the sight of blood and the sound of his pain. I realized then that intimacy shouldn’t be a transaction or a gamble; it should be about mutual pleasure and care. I didn’t want my first real experience to be one of regret.
