The Chef’s Unexpected Encounter
The sterile, bright lights of the Caracas shopping mall felt oppressive after the tension of my job interview. I was simply killing time, wandering through the corridors, when I stepped into the restroom. That was when I saw him. He was dressed in a blue chef’s uniform, smudged with flour and the honest grime of a long shift in the kitchen. The moment our eyes met, the air between us seemed to electrify.
It was an instant, visceral attraction. Even as we moved to separate stalls, we didn’t break eye contact. It was as if the rest of the world had blurred into a haze, leaving only the intensity of his gaze locked onto mine. We emerged from the restroom at the same time, walking down the same hallway. We drifted into different shops for a few minutes, but fate brought us back together at the exact same moment.
He intercepted me with a confident smile, his voice a low rumble that vibrated in my chest. Without a word, he led me toward the service corridor, away from the prying eyes of the shoppers. The tension that had been building since our first glance snapped as he pressed me against the cool tile wall. His hands, warm and strong, cupped my face, and when he kissed me, it tasted of salt and longing. In that hidden corner of the mall, the world disappeared, leaving only the heat of our bodies and the sudden, desperate need to be closer.
