The Vet’s Secret Sanctuary
Elena lived as a ghost in her own life, drifting through the sterile hallways of her father’s veterinary clinic. Raised in isolation by a stern man who viewed the world as a cruel place, she found her only peace in the quiet hours after the clinic doors locked for the night.
In the velvet silence of midnight, the clinic transformed into her private sanctuary. Shedding the restrictive clothes and expectations of her daylight existence, Elena wandered the halls in a state of raw liberation. The cool air against her skin felt like a reclamation of her own body, a secret rebellion against the suffocating bubble her parents had built around her.
She found a profound connection with the animals in their kennels; they possessed an honesty that humans lacked. They didn’t judge her silence or mock her solitude. In these stolen hours, Elena wasn’t the invisible daughter; she was the master of her own hidden world, breathing in the scent of antiseptic and freedom.
