Bridging the Gap
The distance between our towns was two hundred kilometers, but the distance between our ages felt like a vast ocean. He was barely twenty, possessing a youthful energy that radiated from him like heat from a summer pavement. I was older, more settled, yet I felt a magnetic pull toward him that defied logic. When he finally arrived for that first weekend in November, the air in the room felt thick with an unspoken promise.
We spent the afternoon talking, peeling back the layers of our lives with a cautious curiosity. There was a freedom in our conversation, a shared understanding that we were stepping into an unexpected adventure. By the time we retreated to the bedroom, the soft glow of a single lamp cast long shadows across the sheets. We hadn’t even kissed properly yet, but as we lay together, the tension became an electric current.
I leaned in and kissed him, a slow, exploratory touch that ignited a fire between us. His hands found my waist, pulling me closer until there was no space left. The world outside vanished, leaving only the sound of our synchronized breathing and the heat of our skin. In that moment, the years between us dissolved, replaced by a raw, undeniable hunger that consumed us both.
