Lilly wants more than just presents from her father on her 14th birthday.

Lilly's 14th birthday party was a hit. Laughs and smiles, cake and balloons, even a poorly prepared magician came and did a few very obvious tricks that were probably meant to fool children much younger than the current audience. Still, Lilly had a great time. Her friends were all jealous that Lilly's family had a swimming pool in their back yard, but they were all happy to be able to use it for the special occasion.

Randy, Lilly's father, also enjoyed the fact that he had invested in a swimming pool for his back yard. Having a bunch of 8th and 9th grade girls run around in his back yard wearing bikinis was a good of a day as any for him. If only he was allowed to have the same thing for his birthday...

After the presents were opened, the party began to break up and kids started heading home. Randy cleared up the back yard for the most part and headed inside.

Randy's wife was in the living room giving Lilly a big hug. "I love you so so much!", she said. "And happy birthday sweetie! I wish i could stay longer but if I dont leave now, ill miss my flight!"

"I know mom", Lilly replied, letting go of her mother. "I love you too! Call us when you get to Sydney."

Randy's wife kissed him and Lilly and ran out the door clutching her luggage.

"Just me and you for a whole week kiddo", said Randy. "Ive got a whole list made up of all the super fun activities we are gunna do!"

Lilly eyeballed him suspiciously. "Realll? lets see this list then".

For a moment, Randy gave her a look of being extremely offended, then finally said "Okay fine, you got me. I really have no idea what kinda stuff girls your age like to do."

"We like shopping!!!", she replied excitedly.

"Oh im sure you do munchkin", he chuckled. "But that party of yours about wiping me out."

They moved to the couch and turned on the TV. One of their favorite movies to watch together was on, Titanic.

Lilly's mom always made her cover her eyes during the steamy part, but Randy didn't understand why. All it really showed was boobs and a bit of muff, which Lilly already had at her age, so he let the part play without asking Lilly to cover her eyes.

When the movie was over, Lilly turned to him and asked, "Dad..? How does sex work?"

Randy nearly choked on his beer. "Uhmm, Well haven't you and your mom talked about it yet?"

"No", she responded flatly.

"What about those sex education courses that some schools do"?

"Mom wouldn't sign the permission slip for me", Lilly said frowning. "She said I had no business learning about those things at my age."

Randy considered this for a moment, then finally said "Okay then, but let's keep the conversation between you and me, ok?"

She nodded.

Randy began to explain the basic mechanics of sex, trying his best to use somewhat medical terminologies. He had just finished explaining intercourse when she interrupted him.

"Whats a penis look like?", she asked.

"Um... Well sugar... Its.. Well... Not easy to describe.", he stammered.

"But you have a penis! Dont you dad?"

"Yes, yes i do", he answered.

"Well can you let me see yours?", she asked without hesitation.

"Uhhh...", Randy hesitated. "That's not exactly... Appropriate..."

"Why not?", she demanded. "Why is learning about this stuff so bad?"

"Its not bad for you to learn about this subject honey, its just...", he paused, feeling backed into a corner. "I suppose it couldn't hurt for you to see what it looks like. But you really really cant tell your mom Lilly. Im serious."

"I swear dad! I wont say a word.", Lilly replied excitedly.

"Oh im sure you do munchkin", he chuckled. "But that's something that I just cant do right now".

Lilly eyeballed him suspiciously, but then ran out the door clutching her luggage and was gone without a trace of Lilly's presence.
