When you turn 18 you think you know it all, know one can tell you anything when in reality you know precious little, like most girls of my era virginity was lost around 16 and some earlier, I lost mine at 16 and immediately went on the pill, it gave me the freedom of not having to worry about getting pregnant, it was 1975 and what happened I can remember like it was last night, why? Because it was so unusual but it was also pretty dangerous, I had been visiting an aunt who lived in Heaton Newcastle, it was her birthday and so had a few drinks and stayed a little too long, if fact I was the last to leave and all the buses had run off, still it was a summers night and the walk would do me good.
