I was in love with my friend for 5 years before I finally confessed to him. When I was fourteen and in the 9th grade, I fell in love with my 13 year old best friend. We did so many things together and we hung out all the time and told each other everything. The only thing I didn't tell him was that I am gay. It felt so good and it made us feel even more connected than ever before. We also had feelings for each other that we had never felt before. So, when I finally got the courage to confess my feelings, I did it in a moment of silence and intimacy that allowed me to express my emotions completely.
