With the rain starting to fade, legs still shaky and my ass throbbing in pain...I opted to walk gingerly through the creek for most of the way back to my apartment. Waiting for cars to go by before crossing streets and staying in the shadows was my best strategy. It took me over an hour to trek the two miles back to my apartment. Fortunately, I decided to leave my apartment unlocked since my running shorts had very tiny pockets my keys wouldn't fit.
