Awakening Passion
For years, my marriage had settled into a predictable, sterile rhythm. We had schedules for everything, including our intimacy, which had become a mechanical chore. At twenty-eight, I had convinced myself that this was normal, though I often wondered if the flickering spark I felt was actually passion or just a memory of what it should be.
When my husband left town for a business trip, I visited my mother. One evening, I met Jesus. He was magnetic, possessing a raw confidence that felt dangerous and exhilarating. Despite my insistence that I was married, the air between us crackled. As the night wore on, I found myself anchored to him on a crowded dance floor.
He whispered promises of pleasure into my ear, his hands roaming my curves with a possessive certainty that left me breathless. In his arms, I felt a hunger I hadn’t known existed. The tension peaked when he led me away from the crowd, pulling me into a shadowed corridor where the world vanished, leaving only the heat of his skin against mine and the sudden, violent realization that I was finally alive.
