Midnight in Oatman
The neon signs of the Route 66 motels were a blur in the rearview mirror as Julian drove deeper into the Arizona desert. He was exhausted, the long haul from Los Angeles weighing heavy on his eyelids. When the dusty outskirts of Oatman finally appeared through the twilight, he felt a surge of relief. He needed a drink, a meal, and a place to collapse before the road claimed his consciousness.
Entering the town was like stepping back in time. The main street was a quaint stretch of old-world charm, but what caught Julian’s eye were the donkeys. Small groups of them wandered the thoroughfares with a casual confidence, their coarse fur contrasting with the soft, curious expressions they wore as tourists fed them carrots. Julian stepped out of his truck, the dry heat clinging to his skin. As he walked, a gentle female donkey approached him, nudging his hand. When he stroked her velvet ears, a dormant spark of desire ignited within him, recalling a wild, forbidden passion from his youth in a rural village.
He entered a local general store, his mind racing. The owner, a weathered man with a raspy voice, informed him that the only hotel in town was booked solid. However, he offered a compromise: the loading area behind the store. It was a secluded spot usually used by a trucker, though the local donkeys often wandered there to sleep. Julian accepted immediately, buying a large bag of carrots to keep the animals calm.
As night fell, the darkness became an ink-black shroud, hiding the world from view. Julian sat in his truck, sipping a cold beer and watching the shadows. He checked for cameras, finding none. The silence of the desert was absolute, save for the rhythmic thumping of his own heart. He was trembling with anticipation, his body aching with a need that had haunted him for years.
Soon, a small herd emerged from the gloom. Julian stepped out, his eyes scanning for the female he had met earlier. He found her and, using the carrots as a lure, guided her behind the massive silhouette of his truck. Once they were shielded from the street, he let the carrots spill onto the dirt, distracting the other donkeys while he focused entirely on her.
He reached out, his hands shaking as he stroked her warm flank. The animal remained still, seemingly accustomed to human touch, which only heightened his arousal. With a sharp intake of breath, Julian freed himself from his trousers, his member pulsing and rigid. He applied a bit of saliva for lubrication, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
The first plunge was an explosion of sensation. The heat of her body was searing, a tight, humid embrace that threatened to undo him instantly. He groaned, the sound swallowed by the vast Arizona night, as he began to drive into her with raw, unbridled passion. The only sound was the rhythmic slap of skin against hide, a primal percussion that echoed his desperation.
He felt her body yield to him, the friction building into an unbearable crescendo. With one final, powerful thrust, Julian surrendered, releasing a torrent of heat deep inside her. He collapsed against her, their breathing synchronized in the cooling air.
Even after a moment of rest, the hunger returned. He couldn’t leave her just yet. He repositioned himself, sliding back into that scorching warmth for a second round. This time, his legs trembled with the effort, and he pushed himself to the limit until a second, final release left him completely spent. As he climbed back into his cab, Julian looked back at the quiet town of Oatman, grateful for the secrets kept by the desert stars.
