The Danger of a Forbidden Gaze
Federico had always been a constant presence in our lives, the charismatic bachelor and my husband’s closest friend. For years, he was simply the man who brought laughter and beer to our living room, but lately, the air between us had shifted. I began to notice the way he looked at me—not just as Pedro’s wife, but with a hungry, flirtatious intensity that made my skin prickle.
The tension peaked at a crowded party. I wore a cocktail dress with a daring slit in the back, and after a few drinks, the world felt hazy and electric. When Federico asked Pedro for permission to dance with me, my husband laughed it off, oblivious to the storm brewing. As soon as Federico’s arm slid around my waist, he leaned in, his voice a low, velvet rasp against my ear. “You have no idea how long I’ve wanted you,” he whispered.
I tried to protest, but the way he pressed his body against mine silenced me. As we swayed to the music, I felt the hard ridge of his arousal pressing firmly into my lower back. He didn’t stop there; his hand drifted lower, gripping my backside with a possessive firmness that should have repulsed me. Instead, a traitorous heat bloomed in my core. I told him to stop, but my voice lacked conviction. He knew. He could feel the way I was reacting to him, and his smile grew predatory.
The night ended with a goodbye hug that lingered too long and a squeeze of my hips that left me breathless. When I returned home and collapsed into Pedro’s arms, I was consumed by a frantic, unexpected hunger. My husband noticed my intensity, unaware that it was the ghost of another man’s touch fueling my passion.
The real danger arrived a week later. While Pedro was distracted by a football game in the living room, I stepped into the kitchen. As I leaned over to reach into the refrigerator, I felt a sudden, bold hand encompass my rear. I gasped, but Federico’s palm immediately clamped over my mouth, pinning me against the cold appliance.
“Stay quiet,” he murmured, his breath hot on my neck. “We wouldn’t want to upset Pedro, would we?”
He explored me with a confidence that bordered on arrogance, his fingers finding the dampness between my thighs through my thin clothes. I fought him weakly, my heart hammering against my ribs, but the thrill of the risk was overwhelming. Then, with a daring boldness, he freed himself from his trousers and pressed his heat against my hand, forcing me to feel the evidence of his desire.
“Touch it,” he commanded softly. “A promise of what’s coming. You’ll be dreaming of this tonight.”
He retreated just as Pedro called out from the other room, leaving me shaking and flushed in the kitchen. As I turned back to the stove, I realized the boundaries had been erased. The game had begun, and I was terrified of how much I wanted to lose.
