Summer Heat at the River
The humid air of the countryside clung to Rodrigo as he stepped off the bus, the scent of damp earth and river water filling his lungs. It had been four years since he had visited his brother, Carlos, who managed a sprawling poultry farm. Carlos was a man of rugged strength, a true adonis of the fields, and though he had faced the tragedy of losing his wife, he had raised three sons with a fierce, protective love.
The reunion was warm, filled with laughter and the kind of effortless bonding that only siblings share. As the afternoon sun reached its peak, Carlos suggested a trip to the river, claiming the water was as cold as a fresh beer. They were joined by the youngest son, a spirited young man who possessed a mischievous glint in his eyes and a curiosity that seemed to outpace his years.
At the riverbank, the atmosphere shifted. The shimmering water reflected the intense heat of the day, and as they stripped down to their swim trunks, the tension between the men became palpable. Rodrigo watched Carlos dive into the current, the muscles of his back rippling under a sun-kissed glow. The youngest son splashed nearby, his laughter echoing through the trees, while a silent, electric current of attraction began to pull Rodrigo toward his brother.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long, golden shadows across the sand, Rodrigo and Carlos found themselves alone by the water’s edge. The air was thick with unspoken desires. In a sudden, breathless moment, Carlos reached out, his calloused hand cupping Rodrigo’s cheek. The kiss that followed was hungry and desperate, a release of years of suppressed longing, merging their souls in the cooling twilight of the riverbank.
